The actress, singer, and model (born April 30, 1982) is an American. As part of the anthology film New York Stories, she made her acting debut in Woody Allen's short film Oedipus Wrecks (1989). As Claudia in Interview with the Vampire (1994), Dunst earned considerable attention when she was only twelve years old. For her part, Dunst was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in the category of Best Supporting Actress. A German native, from Hamburg, she has a German father and a mother of German and Swedish ancestry, who is an American citizen.
The beginning of her professional modelling and commercial appearances began when she was three years old.
